In a small clearing between the Vallesinella and Val Brenta, the Rifugio Casinei is the first contact the many walkers coming up from Madonna di Campiglio make with the Brenta Dolomites. From here you can set out for the main refuges of these mountains, but the Casinei may also be a stopping place on the spectacular circular route that winds up past the Vallesinella waterfalls with bridges over the water, springs and caves. The refuge was built in 1909 and is still – as it was then – run by the Serafini family.
Open
From mid-June to early October
Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut
